Club Extravaganza was founded in 1992. It all started with a small party at the basement of Café de Plak, a gay friendly bar located near the city centre of Nijmegen. Not much later a second party followed. Both were highly successful and made the organisation look for larger venue. This location was found at the Paraplufabriek in Nijmegen. This underground location could hold up to 400 partypeople. At that time the popularity of Club Extravaganza increased to very high levels.
